Prefloat Instructions
Organic towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and standard ear plugs are provided for your session (100% Silicone earplugs are available for purchase of $2)
Start out by first inserting the ear plugs while ears are still dry
Please shower using the body wash and shampoo to remove any oils and products from the skin
After showering, dry off your face well and any wetness around your ears and ear plugs. Keeping the face dry during the float will allow you to have a more relaxing experience (a dry face towel will be on the inside handle of the tank). Avoid touching the face during the float as the saline solution may irritate the eyes
Before entering the tank, remove all jewelry and hair ties (anything on the body may be perceived as a distraction to the central nervous system and it can keep you from attaining deeper states of relaxation)
Most people prefer to float in the nude
If you feel that you would like additional neck support, we offer a blue foam halo that acts as a pillow which can be found inside of the shower
Using the handle on the door slowly take the two steps up into the tank and gradually step over the threshold into the 10" of water. Close the door behind you and use the handle to assist you to gently sit down in the water. Make your way to the center of the tank and lay back with your head away from the door. As you lay back you will be brought up effortlessly to the top of the water.
There will be an ambient LED light inside of the tank when you get in and music playing in the beginning of the float. The lights and music will fade off and will come back on at the end of the appointment time
When you notice the light slowly reappear at the end of your float session, take a moment to sit up in the tank. Once you begin to stand, use the door handle for support. Before exiting the tank take a minute for your body to feel the effects of gravity again and for the solution to drip back into the tank.
After exiting the tank, go directly into the shower to rinse off the saline solution
Remove earplugs in the shower and thoroughly rinse ears to remove any salt buildup
Avoid food or water at least one hour prior to session. ( You don't want to be disturbed by your stomach digesting or having to get out of the tank and use the restroom)
Avoid makeup or lotion prior to session
Avoid shaving the day of the session (Shaving the day of the session may cause a burning sensation similar to going into the ocean after shaving)
Avoid caffeine prior to session. (Might prevent you from relaxing)
Make sure ears are thoroughly clean prior to session to ensure earplugs make a good seal.
