FLOATING IS A METHOD OF ATTAINING DEEP REST
Floating is about what you won’t be doing. You won’t be bound by gravity. You’ll be spending an hour or so lying in silence and pitch darkness while suspended in a warm solution of water and 1100 lbs of Epsom Salt. The concentration of Epsom salt will be so dense that you will float effortlessly; like a cork.
The fluid and air temperature will be maintained at external body temperature around 95 degrees so there will be a sensation of an absent surrounding. In short; it will be complete mental and physical relaxation.

TANK FLOAT THERAPY BENEFITS
MEDITATION & CREATIVITY (Theta)
Because float tank therapy creates such an ideal environment for meditation and reflection, it has been called “the gateway to the creative mind”. Research has found that floating increases Theta brainwaves which are directly linked to creativity and perception. Customers often describe that floating offers them such an incredible space for self-introspection that they are able to leave with greater feelings of self-confidence, self control, and serenity.

ATHLETES RECOVERY TRAINING
With its unique combination of physical and mental benefits, it’s little wonder that floatation therapy counts professional and amateur athletes among some of our biggest advocates. Psychically, float therapy aids in healing, pain relief, and improved sleep. Mentally, it is associated with stress relief, increased focus and concentration, and positive visualization.

STRESS RELIEF & RELAXATION
In addition to the more subjective experience of feeling relaxed, floating has been associated with a clear reduction in several physical components of stress. Researchers have discovered that floating actually lowers blood pressure and levels of cortisol (commonly known as “the stress hormone”). High levels of cortisol are frequently associated with elevated stress and increased risk for chronic illnesses and depression.
﹌
PTSD ANXIETY & DEPRESSION
Floating can enhance one of the most promising alternative treatments for PTSD: meditation. Studies have shown that meditation practice combined with traditional therapy can improve the severity of PTSD symptoms—and there is a growing body of research that indicates time in the float tank makes meditation more accessible and effective for its practitioners.

PAIN RELIEF & MANAGEMENT
Physically, floating provides relief. Achy muscles and tense joints can experience true relaxation in a float tank, enjoying zero pressure by floating effortlessly in highly concentrated salt water. It has been demonstrated through scientific research that floating relieves stress itself; it can lead to a significant decrease in stress-related pain: mind and body are treated at once, both finding immediate relief and long-lasting release.

ADDICTION
Well-known researcher, Roderick Borriein, has found that Rest experiences in flotation therapy make it effective in treating addictions as follows: 1) the induction of a general relaxation response, 2) substance misusers find serenity and relief by nonchemical means, 3) internal refocusing to concentrate on personal problems, 4) disruption of habits through removal of trigger cues and response possibilities, 5) increased feelings of control over addictive behaviors, and 6) enhanced learning processes.
